Do Siberian Huskies Shed?

It seems kind of obvious that a dog as "fluffy" looking as a husky would shed. But some people assume they don't shed as much. I am here to assure you they shed A LOT! People too quickly purchase huskies without researching the breed only leaving the huskies to be turned over to animal shelters. Research any breed before you buy! It could be a 15+ year commitment! They shed almost always unless you are diligent with brushing them everyday and they BLOW their coats twice a year. The blowing lasts about three weeks or more and it consists of their soft undercoat and it gets everywhere! However a plus side to their coats is they are a fairly clean dog and don't have an odor.

Today me and Adam spent the day TRYING to defur the car. We vacuumed the car for over a half hour and there is still hair everywhere. It just reminded me that it takes a certain personality to own a husky. You definitely can't be bothered by hair or a dog that chooses to be more independent than the average puppy. I found some fun pictures husky fur everywhere through a google search so you know I'm not lying to you. All that said my huskies are my babies. They are also I would say a tad bit more loving than the average dog and are definitely comedians.
